NorthSide Festival is a commercial festival, held every year in June at Ådalen in Aarhus, Denmark. The first festival was held in 2010 and it has grown from a one-day event to a three-day festival in three years. The festival now goes by the name NorthSide〔 to avoid confusion with the Northside Festival in Brooklyn. Beside its goal of creating profit for its owners, the festival has a mission statement focused on innovation, sustainability, and user involvement. == History == The festival was initiated by Danish promoter Brian Nielsen, who then approached German concert-company FKP Scorpio. This company is owned by the Germen businessman Folkert Koopmans, who also owns the Southside, Hultsfred and Hurricane festivals, and owns 50 percent of the NorthSide. The other 50 percent is owned by a holding-company under Flemming Myllerup and Brian Nielsen.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 publisher = Gaffa )〕 The festival launched in 2010 at Tangkrogen in Aarhus as a one-day event featuring five Danish acts (Nephew, Turboweekend, Mew, Selvmord, and Veto). However, in 2011 the festival moved to its current location and expanded into a two-day event, which was sold out. The second edition of the festival featured acts such as Band of Horses, Suede, White Lies, Interpol, and Elbow. The third edition featured another expansion turning the festival into a three-day event, which ran from 15 to 17 June. The event was completely sold out two weeks prior to the event selling 25000 tickets in total.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Northside.dk )〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「NorthSide Festival (Denmark)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
